Pool Cage and Lanai Cleaning

Green algae and mildew scrubbed off every screen panel and aluminum frame. Pool cage, lanai, or screen enclosure, it's the same job, and most run $150 to $350.

Classic Pressure Washing & Window Cleaning provides professional pool cage, lanai, and screen enclosure cleaning in Orange City and across Volusia, Seminole, and Orange counties, Florida. The company removes green algae and mildew from every screen panel, aluminum frame, crossbar, and gutter on the pool enclosure, using low pressure and soft brushes rather than high-pressure nozzles on the mesh. The service covers the enclosure, not the pool water, and does not include rescreening or screen repair. Most residential pool cage and screen enclosure cleanings cost $150 to $350. 20 Google reviews, 20 of them five stars. Licensed, insured, and locally owned since 2018. Green screens block more light than you think

How pool cages and screen enclosures get so dirty

A pool enclosure is one of the best features of a Florida home and one of the hardest to keep clean. Whether you call it a pool cage, a lanai, or a screen enclosure, it sits over constant moisture from the pool, under shade from the trees, in year-round warmth. Green algae, mold, and mildew like all three. The screen panels turn green and the aluminum frames discolor. A bright, open outdoor room starts to feel dark and closed in.

This service covers the enclosure itself: the screens, the aluminum frames, the base channels, and the roof panels. It does not cover the pool water, and we do not offer rescreening or screen repair. If we find a torn panel, we point it out so you can call a screen company.

Our cleaning process

We start by applying a cleaning solution to the exterior of the enclosure. The solution breaks the bond between the organic growth and the screen mesh and aluminum surface. After a brief dwell time, we rinse from the top down using low-pressure water, working panel by panel to ensure every screen is fully cleaned. The aluminum frame, crossbars, and structural beams are scrubbed and rinsed as well.

We pay close attention to the areas that accumulate the most buildup: the base channels where the cage meets the deck, the inside corners where two screen sections meet, and the roof panels that sit under tree canopy. These spots tend to hold moisture longer and grow algae faster than the rest of the enclosure. Skipping them leaves the cage looking half-cleaned, which is why we work methodically through every section.

Bundle the pool deck for a better price

Add deck pressure washing to the same visit and the combined job gets a bundled discount. One visit, floor to ceiling.

Bundling the pool deck

For homes where the pool deck is inside the cage, we recommend bundling deck pressure washing with the cage cleaning so the entire enclosed area gets done in one visit. The deck is pressure washed at the right PSI for the surface material (concrete, pavers, or travertine) while the cage is cleaned with low pressure. You get a pool area that is clean from floor to ceiling.

Selling your home or got an HOA notice?

If your HOA has sent a letter about the condition of your pool cage, or if you're preparing the house for sale, a professional cleaning makes an immediate and visible difference. For active listings we schedule within 48 hours and send before-and-after photos for the listing file, so the listing photos match what buyers see at the showing. Buyers in Florida look at the pool area closely, and a green, dingy cage sends the wrong message.

Before we start any pool cage job, we ask homeowners to move patio furniture, pool floats, and anything else inside the enclosure that could get in the way or be damaged by overspray. We protect outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, and any electronics mounted to the cage structure. When we pack up, we do a final walkthrough with the homeowner to make sure every panel meets their expectations.

Beyond the Pool Cage

A covered lanai is an easy add-on to a pool cage cleaning. Same visit, same crew.

Lanai Cleaning

Pollen, mildew, and cobwebs collect on a covered lanai even though it never sees rain. The ceiling panels yellow. The screen sections closest to the ground turn green. Spiders set up camp in every corner. It happens quietly, and by the time you notice, the whole space feels like it belongs outside rather than as part of your home.

We clean the screens, aluminum framing, ceiling, and floor in one visit so the entire lanai is usable again. Our soft wash process handles the mildew without high pressure, which means no damaged screens and no water forced into areas it should not reach. We ask you to clear the furniture before we arrive, then clean every surface from ceiling to floor. Add the lanai to your pool cage appointment: we are already set up, and the bundled job gets a discount.

Where we clean pool cages

We clean pool cages, lanais, and screen enclosures across Volusia, Seminole, and Orange counties. These four cities show why the screens go green so fast.

Pool Cage and Lanai Cleaning FAQ

How much does pool cage cleaning cost?

Most residential pool cages in the Orange City and Volusia County area run $150 to $350. Three things move the price: how many screen panels the cage has, whether it is a two-story cage, and how thick the algae is. A cage that has gone a few years without cleaning takes real scrubbing. We walk the enclosure, count the panels, and give you an exact price before we start.

How long does a pool cage cleaning take?

Most residential pool cages take three to five hours, depending on the size and severity of the algae buildup. Larger enclosures or cages that haven't been cleaned in several years may take a full day. Most pool cages are finished in a single visit.

Will pool cage cleaning damage my screens?

Not the way we do it. We use low-pressure water, soft brushes, and a cleaning solution designed for screen enclosures. We never use high-pressure nozzles directly on screen panels. Before we start, we inspect every panel and flag any that are already torn or deteriorating so there are no surprises.

How often should I have my pool cage cleaned?

Every 12 to 18 months is what we tell most people in Central Florida. A home under heavy oak canopy or near a canal often gets washed closer to once a year, and the cage can go on that same visit. Staying on a schedule keeps the algae from getting thick enough to stain the aluminum.

Do you clean the pool deck at the same time?

Yes. Bundling the deck with the cage gets you a discount on the combined job, and everything inside the enclosure gets done in one visit. The deck is pressure washed while the cage is cleaned. Ask about the bundle when you request your estimate.
